SYDNEY, Feb. 26, 2025 — Air India has refined its flight network to provide quicker connections from Sydney and Melbourne in Australia to European destinations, including London Heathrow, Frankfurt, Paris, and Amsterdam, via India. This enhancement reduces connection times to around 2 hours. To highlight these improvements and showcase India as a world-class hub, the airline has launched a campaign named ‘Via.’

The updated flight schedule positions Air India as one of the fastest options for traveling between Australia and Europe, featuring convenient layover durations at Air India’s hub in Delhi.

“India’s strategic location and impressive airport infrastructure, along with Air India’s extensive route network, provide easy one-stop access for travelers moving from East to West and vice versa,” stated Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India.

Air India provides 7 weekly flights from both Sydney and Melbourne to Delhi, and from Delhi, it offers 24 weekly flights to London Heathrow, 14 weekly to Paris CDG, 14 weekly to Frankfurt, 7 weekly to Amsterdam, and 7 weekly to Milan.

Air India Improves the Transit Experience at Delhi Airport

Air India’s operations in Terminal 3 of Delhi Airport facilitate smooth same-terminal transfers for passengers flying from Australia to Europe. These terminals are known for their world-class design, architecture, and operational efficiency, enhanced by Indian heritage and cultural elements.

Business Class passengers, Maharaja Club members, and eligible Star Alliance members can use lounge services at these airports, ensuring optimal comfort and convenience during their layovers.

Air India Introduces ‘Via’ Marketing Initiative

Air India has initiated a marketing campaign called ‘Via,’ which will run until March, aiming to increase awareness among Australian travelers about the various destinations they can easily reach via India.

Flights can be booked on the airline’s official website, through the mobile app, by contacting the customer service center, at city and airport ticket offices, and through travel agents globally.
