Supporting festivals and cultural events helps boost economic growth in regions across Quebec. To that end, Patricia Lattanzio, Member of Parliament for Saint‍-‍Léonard‒Saint‍-‍Michel, announced today on behalf of the Honourable Pascale St‍-‍Onge, Minister of Tourism and Minister responsible for CED, that the Government of Canada is renewing its funding for Montréal en Lumière with a non-repayable contribution of $375,000 for 2025.

Montréal en Lumière perfectly captures the unique festival spirit of Montréal. To help showcase this winter gathering, CED is supporting the organizers in their marketing and promotional efforts, with the goal of attracting more visitors and generating significant economic benefits for all Montrealers. The $375,000 contribution announced today for 2025 supplements the $1,125,000 contribution announced in 2022 for the festival’s 2022, 2023, and 2024 editions.

The Government of Canada acknowledges and supports businesses and organizations that are a source of community pride. Quebec’s economic growth depends on organizations deeply rooted in the regional economy; they are vital for building a sustainable and inclusive economy.
