Recent research indicates that robust internet and cellular connectivity are now more critical than cost and amenities when businesses choose office spaces.

LONDON, Jan. 14, 2025 — A new study shows Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity are paramount for companies selecting new locations. The report, ‘.’, surveyed over 2,000 business leaders in the US and UK, revealing connectivity surpasses price and amenities in lease decisions. While location remains the top priority, strong Wi-Fi is a close second, followed by cellular connectivity. With a significant portion of businesses (79% in the US/77% in the UK) planning to relocate within five years, this highlights the rising importance of dependable connectivity for commercial tenants.

Connectivity’s influence extends beyond leasing. The report indicates that 80% of surveyed business leaders believe seamless connectivity directly boosts employee productivity. In fact, reliable connectivity is so crucial that almost all respondents (96% US/94% UK) would pay higher rent for enhanced connectivity.
