BOSTON, Jan. 20, 2025 — The U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts moved to dismiss all charges against SpineFrontier Inc., a significant step in the legal proceedings involving the company and its founder, Dr. Kingsley R. Chin. This follows prior dismissals and settlements, indicating consistent progress.
The case, United States v. Kingsley R. Chin, Aditya Humad, and SpineFrontier, Inc., No. 1:21-cr-10256-IT, was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The government’s January 17, 2025 motion to dismiss stated:
“Pursuant to Fed. R. Crim. P. 48(a), the United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts moves to dismiss: (i) Counts 6 and 7 against Kingsley R. Chin and Aditya Humad; and (ii) all counts against SpineFrontier, Inc. …”
This motion further reduces the case’s scope. With the settled civil case and prior dismissals, the proceedings are significantly narrowed. ”We view this as important progress and will constructively address remaining issues,” stated Dr. Kingsley R. Chin, SpineFrontier’s former CEO.
