EcoVadis, a leading global CSR evaluator operating in 175 countries and over 200 industries, assesses companies across four areas: environmental management, labor practices, ethics, and sustainable procurement. GCL SI’s Silver Medal reflects ESG performance exceeding 85% of global participants, highlighting its leadership in environmental governance and green supply chain management. Its “GCL Carbon Data Platform” uses blockchain and privacy computing to track and manage carbon emissions across the photovoltaic industry, fostering a circular green economy.

GCL SI’s “Triple-Integration” strategy—combining digital tools with low-carbon technology upgrades—has reduced annual CO₂ equivalent emissions by 127,000 tons. An intelligent energy management system has also improved photovoltaic plant efficiency by 23%.

As a top-five global photovoltaic module supplier, GCL SI is committed to “bringing green power to life.” Its green procurement system, encompassing 28 countries and 186 suppliers, annually reduces carbon emissions by 450,000 tons. Investments of CNY 380 million in intelligent manufacturing systems led to its Suzhou base being named a “Lighthouse Factory” by the World Economic Forum.

GCL SI is furthering its “Zero Carbon Technology + Digital Energy” strategy, aiming for complete value chain carbon neutrality by 2027. As the UN Global Compact’s Asia-Pacific Executive Director noted, GCL SI’s ESG practices are reshaping responsible business models in renewable energy.
