Initial Release: “SkillHouse,” a GenTV production produced by Ryan Kavanaugh, Shane Valdez, and 50 Cent; Starring Bryce Hall, Hannah Stocking, 50 Cent, and Neal McDonough, Written and Directed by Josh Stolberg, writer of the last three Saw films

NEW YORK, Jan. 24, 2025 — The debut feature, SkillHouse, a GenTV production produced by Ryan Kavanaugh, Shane Valdez, and 50 Cent, is the first of a multi-film agreement. This innovative project ushers in a new era of entertainment, introducing New Majority, influencer-driven genre films that redefine traditional distribution methods. Each film combines feature-length content with ten seven-minute episodes, providing viewers with a dynamic, cross-platform experience.

Group Black, renowned for its pioneering ventures and collaborations with major streaming platforms, is once again disrupting the industry by leveraging short-form episodes featuring prominent influencers to encourage younger audiences to transition from short-form pay-per-view to paid subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) or advertising-based video-on-demand (AVOD) services. Through this, Group Black is spearheading a much-needed transformation within the entertainment industry.

Group Black employs its exclusive technology suite, which seamlessly integrates brands into episodes and film post-production without requiring any manual editing. This technology-driven approach allows for near real-time placement adjustments. Group Black utilizes its proprietary technology to offer brand partners unparalleled integration opportunities that encompass diverse audiences, cross-platform experiences, multigenerational appeal, and multi-channel strategies—all within the dynamic influencer-driven market, maximizing brand integration in an unprecedented manner.

The GenTV deal encompasses a minimum of five films, with each film planned for a theatrical release followed quickly by a pay-per-view (PPV) window and an SVOD/AVOD window. Group Black and GenTV anticipate announcing their SVOD-AVOD partner shortly, a partnership they believe will further accelerate the paradigm shift in the “streaming wars,” as this partner will also host the shorter episodes on a PPV basis, helping to drive younger Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences from single PPV purchases to paying monthly subscribers on the soon-to-be-announced streaming platform.

Skillhouse, starring prominent influencers Bryce Hall and Hannah Stocking, along with acclaimed actors such as 50 Cent and McCarrie McCausland, was written and directed by Josh Stolberg. Stolberg also penned the last three Saw movies, the most successful in the franchise’s history, each grossing over $100 million at the box office.

The film is premiering in Park City, UT, with a theatrical release currently scheduled for April 2025, followed by a PPV release three to four weeks later and a first-ever simultaneous PPV release of the next three episodes in the series.

The first episode, released on GenTV.com, broke records with millions of unique views and over 100 million page views, showcasing the potential of this model.

This partnership signifies a new era in content creation, targeting an audience that values authenticity, innovation, and connection. By combining the influencer-driven appeal of social media stars with classic cinematic storytelling, Group Black and GenTV are establishing a new standard for engaging younger audiences.
