JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia, Feb. 16, 2025 — Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook), a leading global tire manufacturer within the Hankook & Company Group, successfully concluded its role as exclusive tire supplier and official technical partner for the 2025 Jeddah E-Prix, part of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship (Formula E).

Hankook successfully concludes the season’s first double-header event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on February 14 and 15.

The event, held on February 14 and 15 (local time) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, marked the season’s first night race and double-header, encompassing Rounds 3 and 4. Hankook’s advanced Formula E racing tire, the GEN3 Evo iON Race, delivered outstanding performance across both races, supporting 22 drivers from 11 teams as they navigated the track’s demanding high-speed straights and 19 technical corners.

Maximilian Günther (DS PENSKE) and Oliver Rowland (Nissan Formula E Team) secured victories in Rounds 3 and 4, respectively. The competition intensified, with Oliver Rowland (Nissan Formula E Team) leading the drivers’ championship with 68 points, and the Nissan Formula E Team taking the lead in the teams’ championship with their Nissan powertrain.

Drivers praised the tire’s exceptional capabilities. Maximilian Günther (DS PENSKE) commented, “The tire demonstrated outstanding grip and handling performance optimized for the new race car, even under extreme driving conditions. Its high-level performance allowed us to finish the race stably and competitively until the end.”

The GEN3 Evo iON Race Tire exemplifies Hankook’s technological innovation, combining advanced engineering fiber materials and natural rubber for superior heat resistance and stability. Formula E Season 11 completed its first four rounds, beginning in São Paulo and culminating in Jeddah. The championship continues with Round 5, the 2025 Miami E-Prix, scheduled for April 12 (local time) in Miami, USA.
