SHANGHAI, January 15, 2025 — Hero Esports’ HERO ESPORTS Asian Champions League (ACL), Asia’s leading multi-game esports tournament, boasts a $2 million prize pool.
The tournament’s initial game lineup includes Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, Honor of Kings, Teamfight Tactics, Delta Force, and Crossfire, with more titles to be announced.
While a founding member, Hero Esports separately manages the ACL through the Asia Champions League Foundation. Jonny Wang, Hero Esports co-founder, leads as ACL CEO; fellow co-founder Xie Fan serves as President.
The ACL aims to be the region’s most inclusive and accessible esports event, promoting global esports standardization and a thriving Asian esports environment.
The inaugural ACL begins in the first half of 2025, culminating in a Shanghai grand final—a collaboration with DreamHack, marking DreamHack’s China debut—offering an exceptional experience for Asian esports fans.
ACL CEO Jonny Wang stated: “The inaugural ACL’s theme, ‘Creating the Impossible,’ reflects our ambition. We aim to unite top esports athletes globally, break records, and create memorable experiences.”
ACL President Xie Fan added, “We see the ACL not just as a top esports event, but as a new benchmark for international tournaments, inspiring industry innovation.”
