ROTTERDAM and SEOUL, South Korea, May 22, 2025 — Hyundai Motor Group (the Group) is demonstrating its global leadership in hydrogen technology at the World Hydrogen Summit 2025 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, from May 20-22. The Group is participating in both the exhibition and the high-level Roundtable to share its latest hydrogen projects and foster industry discussion.

At the Summit’s Korean Pavilion – organized with H2KOREA, a hydrogen industry stakeholder coalition – the Group is emphasizing the worldwide advancement of hydrogen technology. This includes its hydrogen value chain business under the HTWO hydrogen brand, with a focus on port decarbonization that aligns with the sustainability objectives of the Port of Rotterdam.
Highlighting its hydrogen leadership, the Group is also showcasing its fuel cell technologies for commercial vehicles. The exhibit’s focal point is a diorama of a hydrogen-powered society, emphasizing the transformative potential of hydrogen energy and the collaborative ecosystem being developed through HTWO.

World Hydrogen Summit 2025
As Co-Chair of the Hydrogen Council, Hyundai Motor Group Vice Chair Jaehoon Chang addressed the Summit, participating in the Ministerial-CEO Roundtable. The discussion centered on coordinating public and private efforts to expedite the development of a dependable and inclusive global hydrogen industry, identifying three strategic joint actions:
- Enacting national financial incentives
- Enhancing economic and industrial advantages
- Reinforcing global trade partnerships and supply chains to stimulate global hydrogen demand
The Roundtable was co-hosted by the governments of the Netherlands and Brazil, who are co-chairs of the International Hydrogen Trade Forum (IHTF), along with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Hydrogen Council. Vice Chair Chang headed the industry delegation.
