
STOCKHOLM, April 14, 2025 — Sandvik has named Johanna Kreft as its new Executive Vice President and General Counsel, effective October 13, 2025. Kreft, who currently serves in the same capacity at Alleima, will also join Sandvik’s Group Executive Management team.
“Johanna Kreft possesses strong leadership abilities, experience in developing legal organizations within publicly traded companies, and a deep understanding of Sandvik. I am confident that she is an excellent choice for this role and will be a valuable addition to the Group Executive Management,” stated Stefan Widing, President and CEO of Sandvik.
Born in 1976, Johanna Kreft has a substantial history with Sandvik, spanning more than 15 years. Prior to the separation of Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT) into Alleima in 2022, she held the position of Business Area General Counsel for SMT. Her prior roles also encompass Chief Legal Counsel for SMT and Legal Counsel for Sandvik AB. She is succeeding Åsa Thunman, who, as previously announced, is departing Sandvik to take on a similar role at the Swedish project development and construction company Skanska.
