SUWON, South Korea, January 6, 2025 — Park Systems Corp. announced its acquisition of Lyncée Tec SA, a Swiss innovator in Digital Holographic Microscope (DHM®) technology. This acquisition bolsters Park Systems’ optical metrology capabilities, building on its 2022 acquisition of Accurion GmbH, a leading producer of Imaging Spectroscopic Ellipsometers (ISE).

Park Systems, world-leading manufacturer of Atomic Force Microscopes, has the longest history of AFM business in the industry. The company has developed a global sales network of over 30 countries and has more than 1000 AFMs in use around the world. It is the fastest growing AFM company with more than 120 full time employees dedicated to producing the most accurate and easiest to use AFMs. Park Systems world-wide Locations can be found here: http://www.parkafm.com/index.php/company/locations

Established in 2003 by researchers at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Lyncée Tec has been a leader in developing and marketing DHM®. DHM®, based on hologram technology, captures 3D sample information across the entire field of view without scanning, resulting in significantly faster imaging—more than 100 times faster than conventional interferometry-based optical profiling. Its compact design adds to its versatility and power as a measurement tool. Applications include materials science, life sciences, MEMS, and manufacturing. The company’s two decades of experience in holographic imaging have earned it a reputation for reliable, high-performance instruments that balance accuracy and efficiency for research and industrial use.

“This acquisition is a key step in our growth into a comprehensive solutions provider for semiconductor processes,” said Dr. Sang-il Park, Founder and CEO of Park Systems. “Park Systems will integrate Lyncée Tec’s DHM technology into our Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) platform and develop a fully automated DHM system, targeting various semiconductor applications, particularly advanced packaging.”

“We are thrilled to join Park Systems,” added Dr. Yves Emery, Founder and CEO of Lyncée Tec. “This unites AFM and DHM pioneers to enhance DHM efficiency and impact, redefining the possibilities in nanoscale metrology. We are confident DHM will achieve greater recognition as a premium imaging solution for fast, robust 3D measurements.”

“Park Systems has a proven track record of commercializing AFM, evolving it from a lab instrument to a semiconductor nanometrology solution,” added Dr. Etienne Cuche, inventor of DHM® technology and Founder and CTO of Lyncée Tec.  “We anticipate significant benefits from Park Systems’ global reach and operational capabilities. Reflecting on the first DHM created 25 years ago in a lab, I am grateful for all the systems deployed globally and the applications developed with our customers who have brought us to this point.”
