This new hospital bed helps caregivers provide efficient, high-quality care in international markets.
PORTAGE, Mich., Feb. 17, 2025 — Stryker (NYSE:SYK), a global medical technology leader, announces the launch of the ProCeed hospital bed, a user-friendly design that improves care worldwide.

Nursing staff turnover has risen in recent years, with a substantial global percentage considering leaving their positions1. Given persistent nursing shortages and staff burnout2, hospital equipment, including beds, must handle heavy use while remaining simple for staff. ProCeed is designed for durability and easy cleaning to meet these demands.
“In designing ProCeed, our priorities were clinician and patient safety, alongside an efficient and user-friendly system,” said Scott Sagehorn, vice president and general manager of Stryker’s Acute Care business. “This bed addresses the needs of staff and patients in these markets to support consistent, high-quality care.”
ProCeed prioritizes patient and staff safety through features like a low bed height to improve patient mobility and reduce fall risks. The central fifth wheel reduces push force and improves steering, lowering the risk of caregiver back injuries. It also offers two headboard options: a stationary one for tilting frames, and a mobile one that moves with the frame.
