MUMBAI, India and SYDNEY, April 9, 2025 — STL (NSE: STLTECH), a prominent provider of optical and digital solutions, is collaborating with Swoop Holdings Limited to enhance approximately 1,000 homes in Western Australia with high-speed Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) connectivity. As part of this collaboration, STL will provide Swoop Infrastructure with advanced optical networking and connectivity solutions, further boosting the region’s digital infrastructure.

This partnership is an extension of Swoop’s acquisition of conduit and fibre assets in Seacrest Estate, near Geraldton, Western Australia. It represents a key advancement in Swoop’s dedication to growing its fibre broadband network. Swoop’s Head of Infrastructure, Anthony Camilleri, is leading this project as part of the company’s wider Fibre Broadband strategy for both retail and wholesale offerings.
STL has a proven history of enabling network operators to implement and expand fibre networks using sustainable, high-performance optical solutions. These solutions, produced at STL’s certified “Zero Waste to Landfill” facilities, establish new benchmarks in the industry for durability and environmental responsibility.
Through this collaboration, STL will support Swoop’s network upgrade by providing robust Layer-1 optical solutions designed for brownfield deployments. These include:
- OptoHaul – A flexible, single-fibre Plug & Play solution suitable for underground, aerial, or direct-buried installations.
- Micro Cables – Compact, high-density fibre cables designed for air-blown installation in underground microducts. Ideal for last-mile FTTH and access networks, with options for termite-resistant jackets and increased tensile strength.
- Optical Closures – Small and pre-configured closures (MAX and MicrOTP) created to simplify installation and reduce space requirements.
- Optical Termination – Rack-mounted splicing and patching shelves (nPTD) featuring pre-installed splitters and a pivoting tray for easy installation at Point-of-Presence (PoP) sites.
Anthony Camilleri, Head of Infrastructure at Swoop, stated: “We are excited about partnering with STL to provide high-speed, highly reliable fibre connectivity to homes in Western Australia. Our aim is to establish Swoop Infrastructure, as part of Swoop Holdings, as the preferred choice for developers by delivering exceptional service and value. With STL’s advanced optical technology, we are confident in our ability to deliver a future-ready network that enhances the digital experience for our customers.”
Rahul Puri, CEO of Optical Networking Business at STL, commented: “We are delighted to be working with Swoop, a leading challenger telecom brand in Australia, to bring ultra-fast broadband to regional communities. With our comprehensive range of advanced optical solutions, we are enabling Swoop to create a high-performance, dependable network that provides next-generation connectivity. This project underscores Swoop’s continued investment in regional broadband infrastructure, ensuring that communities have access to world-class internet speeds and service quality.”
