
NEW YORK, March 26, 2025 — The Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS) has introduced the Industry Champion Award to acknowledge industry partners who consistently provide significant support to the WDS. Tyler Steele, who serves as Vice President of Medical Relations for CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, and Vichy, received the first-ever WDS Industry Champion Award. Dr. Latanya Benjamin, the WDS President (2024-2025), presented the award at the WDS Annual Meeting Luncheon held on March 9th, 2025, at the Hilton Orlando. Dr. Benjamin stated that she was especially honored to introduce the WDS Industry Champion Award during her time as president, and to recognize Tyler Steele as the inaugural recipient.
Steele was celebrated for his outstanding contributions to the WDS and his deep dedication to dermatology. He has spent 15 years in the dermatology field and 20 years in over-the-counter skincare, with experience in marketing, new product creation, and media relations. Steele expressed his gratitude for the connections made within the dermatology community and the opportunity to positively impact patients’ lives. He also thanked L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty for its support and partnership with the WDS in their shared goal of promoting healthier skin.
According to Dr. Mona Gohara, WDS President (2022-2023), Tyler was chosen by the WDS membership for his consistent support and significant impact on dermatology. She emphasized that he has been a true champion for the society, aligning with their motto of “Success for every woman in dermatology,” and expressed gratitude for his contributions.
