CHANGSHA, China, June 18, 2025 — Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (“Zoomlion”; 1157.HK) presented its latest agricultural and construction machinery solutions, specifically designed for the African market, at the 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, which took place in Changsha, China from June 12 to 15. Since its entry into the African market in 2007, Zoomlion has been actively involved in the construction of several significant projects, while also promoting local skills and playing a vital role in the advancement of infrastructure and agricultural modernization.

Zoomlion showcased a diverse range of products, including construction cranes, farming equipment, aerial platforms, and earthmoving machines. These products are custom-built to address the particular performance, quality, and technological needs of construction and agricultural settings in Africa.

For the past 18 years, Zoomlion has become a leading machinery exporter in Africa, with more than 10,000 pieces of equipment operating across the continent.

Zoomlion has established subsidiaries and extensive service networks in countries like South Africa, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Kenya. It also has a joint-venture factory in Algeria and operates spare parts centers in both Algeria and South Africa. The company is also growing its network of local dealers and distribution channels to offer complete services to local clients, including sales, support, technical assistance, and financing.

Zoomlion has been crucial in supporting major infrastructure and agricultural projects in Africa, such as the construction of Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, which includes 20 high-rise buildings, including Africa’s tallest skyscraper at 385.8 meters, 12 commercial office buildings, five residential apartment buildings, and two luxury hotels. Other projects include the Julius Nyerere Hydropower Project (JNHPP) in Tanzania, which is set to increase the country’s installed hydropower capacity from 562 megawatts by approximately 3.7 times; the N’Djamena Stadium in Chad, designed to host continental competitions and large cultural events upon its completion; and the Rosso Bridge, spanning the Senegal River on the border between Senegal and Mauritania, which is intended to be a key trading center in Africa and promote stronger economic relationships.

Zoomlion is experiencing rapid growth in the African market, with sales in the first quarter of 2025 reaching 60 percent of the total sales for all of 2024. As of May 2025, Zoomlion’s Africa team consisted of over 300 employees, with more than 90% being local hires, which is a key factor in regional employment and skills enhancement.
