Trump vows forceful US military response if Iran attacks America.

President Trump stated on Sunday that the U.S. was not involved in Israel’s attack on Iran. However, he warned that any Iranian attack on the U.S. would be met with the full force of the American military.

In a Truth Social post early Sunday, Trump asserted, “The U.S. had nothing to do with the attack on Iran, tonight.”

He added, “If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before. However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!”

Trump’s statement followed claims of responsibility by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for strikes on headquarters and a nuclear project, coinciding with a series of Iranian strikes.

The IDF stated on X that it “completed an extensive series of strikes on targets in Tehran related to the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons project,” including the Ministry of Defense headquarters, the SPND nuclear project headquarters, and other locations allegedly used to advance Iran’s nuclear weapons program and hide its nuclear archive.

Despite Trump’s denial, Iran claims to possess evidence of U.S. involvement in the attack.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told foreign diplomats that they have “solid proof of the support of the American forces and American bases in the region for the attacks of the Zionist regime military forces.” His remarks were broadcast on state TV.

These exchanges of attacks are the most recent violence since Israel’s surprise offensive two days prior, which aimed to cripple Tehran’s nuclear program.

At least 10 were killed and at least 180 injured in the Iranian missile strikes, while casualty figures from Israel’s targeting of Tehran’s Defense Ministry headquarters and alleged nuclear program sites in Iran were not immediately available.

The Israeli military asserted that the targeted locations were “related to the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons project.”

U.S. intelligence agencies and the International Atomic Energy Agency have consistently stated that Iran was not pursuing nuclear weapons before Israel initiated its offensive on Friday.

Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard claimed its missiles targeted fuel production facilities for Israeli fighter jets, a claim Israel has not confirmed.

Planned negotiations between Iran and the U.S. regarding Tehran’s nuclear program have been canceled due to the ongoing conflict, raising concerns about when and how the fighting might end.
