Vatican: Pope Francis Resting Peacefully After Breathing Difficulty

Pope Francis, 88, spent a restful night and is recovering following a breathing difficulty, according to the Vatican on Saturday.

On Friday, Francis experienced an isolated respiratory issue that necessitated non-invasive, mechanical breathing assistance, the Vatican stated. He suffered a bronchospasm, leading to vomiting and inhalation. He was then put on non-invasive ventilation and showed positive progress.
