VALLETTA, Malta, May 19, 2025 — Thunderpick, a leading platform for online esports betting, has announced the return of the Thunderpick World Championship (TWC) in 2025, which will feature a prize pool of $1 million USD. Demonstrating a continued commitment to Counter-Strike esports, Thunderpick has also confirmed that the championship will continue in 2026 and beyond.
Following the exciting conclusion of the 2024 season, where The MongolZ defeated HEROIC 3-1 in the Grand Final, Thunderpick is again setting a high standard for Counter-Strike competitions. TWC 2025 will include Regional Series events in North America, South America, and Europe. These events will lead to the Tier 1 LAN Final in Malta from October 15 to October 19, where $850,000 USD will be awarded.
This year’s championship, presented by (Hotspawn.com), introduces a redesigned visual identity, complete with new production elements and features designed for viewers. The goal is to create a more engaging and immersive experience for CS2 fans globally.
