Currently, over 50 countries and international organizations have confirmed their participation in the Country Pavilion. Sweden and the United Arab Emirates will be the guest countries of honor at the 8th CIIE, while Kyrgyzstan will participate for the first time.

To facilitate the integration of global businesses into the Chinese market, the Corporate Pavilion will feature six major exhibition areas – Medical Equipment and Healthcare Products, Automobile and Smart Mobility, Intelligent Industry & Information Technology, Consumer Goods, Food and Agricultural Products, and Trade in Services. It will also continue to host its Innovation Incubation Special Section. Due to strong interest and participation from international companies, the total booked exhibition space has exceeded 330,000 square meters, with 170 companies and 26 institutions exhibiting for the eighth consecutive time.

Notably, this year’s Corporate Pavilion will introduce four new features, highlighting its dynamic energy and extensive collaboration opportunities for participants.

  • A special section dedicated to products from the least-developed countries will be launched alongside an upgraded Africa products section, assisting 53 African diplomatic partners in utilizing zero-tariff policies to access the Chinese market.
  • A new section for overseas provinces and cities will be another highlight.
  • A dedicated route for exploring debuts and a section amplifying exhibitors’ presence will be introduced, focusing on global premieres.
  • A cross-border e-commerce platform will be established for specialized promotion, matchmaking, and livestreaming.

The 8th Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF) will be held under the theme “Opening-up for New Opportunities, Cooperation for a Shared Future”. In addition to the release of the World Openness Report 2025 and the latest World Openness Index, the HQF will host over 20 parallel sessions focusing on revitalizing multilateral cooperation, empowering digital intelligence, green and sustainable development, and a more open China.

Side events will maintain previous categories, while people-to-people exchange activities will include a new “Charming Friends of City” zone, inviting international friendly provinces and cities to set up booths.
