Frederick Arts Council Hosts “Celebrating 50 Years of Creative Community” Exhibition at Annapolis Treasury Building, Showcasing Over 50 Frederick Artists

FREDERICK, Md., March 6, 2026 — The “Celebrating 50 Years of Creative Community” exhibit will be on display from February 9 to April 10, 2026, at the Annapolis Treasury Building, hosted by the Comptroller’s Office.

Artists from across Frederick County are marking the 50th anniversary of the Frederick Arts Council by sharing their unique perspectives and contributions to the local arts scene.

“We’re thrilled to commemorate this important milestone for the Frederick Arts Council with an exhibition featuring artists who have a profound effect on our community. The FAC will keep supporting artists through this celebratory project, offering various chances to highlight the arts’ influence. We’re deeply thankful to everyone who has taken part and continues to make our community incredibly lively,” stated Louise Kennelly, Executive Director of the Frederick Arts Council. “Looking back on the last 50 years only fuels our excitement for what’s ahead. We extend our gratitude to Comptroller Brooke Lierman for her strong support of the arts.”

A reception is scheduled for March 17 from 5 to 7 PM, giving attendees a chance to engage in creative discussions with artists and arts enthusiasts. Light refreshments will be served, and the event is free—just register via Eventbrite.
