CHICAGO, Jan. 8, 2026, the biggest independent cannabis retailer in Illinois, recognized for its creative food partnerships, is teaming up with popular Chicago establishment Steingold’s Deli to launch a unique collaboration: the “High on Rye” pastrami sandwich, which includes Ivy Hall x Steingold’s Cannabis Infused Mustard. This partnership marks the debut of Chicago’s inaugural cannabis-infused mustard, a special limited-release item made just for National Pastrami Day.

This limited-time item, available starting January 14, 2026, contains a 5mg dose of infused mustard and will be available for purchase to adults aged 21 and older at Ivy Hall Logan Square (3115 W. Armitage Ave., Chicago, IL 60647) from 12 p.m. onward, subject to availability.

“Chicago holds its food traditions in high regard, and pastrami is a quintessential example,” stated Jonny Boucher, Director of Marketing. “By collaborating with Steingold’s, we can pay homage to that legacy while continuing Ivy Hall’s mission of crafting enjoyable, surprising experiences. Is there a better method than using pastrami on rye?”

The cornerstone of this joint effort is the Cannabis-Infused Mustard, created in conjunction with Steingold’s culinary experts. The mustard is formulated to enhance, rather than dominate, the classic tastes of a pastrami sandwich, providing a subtle, well-rounded effect along with the distinctive, familiar tang that deli enthusiasts appreciate.

“At Steingold’s, we respect tradition but also believe in enjoying food,” commented Aaron Steingold, Founder. “This project provided an opportunity for creative exploration while maintaining the essentials of an excellent sandwich. The infused mustard is robust, harmonious, and a true Chicago product.”

Named “High on Rye,” this single-day event merges the craft of sandwich-making with cannabis enjoyment via an entertaining deli-and-dispensary concept that includes:

  • A limited-run Ivy Hall x Steingold’s “High on Rye” Pastrami Sandwich with Infused Mustard
  • Served with a side of Chicago’s own
  • Complimentary beverages from Dark Matter Coffee
  • An “Ivy Consumption Lounge” on the premises
  • Product displays, a live Vinyl DJ performance, and additional activities!

The initial 100 patrons will be given a “High on Rye” Pastrami Kit, which contains a voucher for a Steingold’s sandwich and Local Style Chip combination, a sample of the infused mustard, and Ivy Hall merchandise, subject to stock levels.

“High on Rye” represents more than just a partnership; it extends the momentum from Ivy Hall’s previous Pi Day Pizza collaboration with Paulie Gees, demonstrating the company’s continued dedication to honoring local alliances and Chicago’s culture with well-considered, attention-grabbing events.
