BEIJING, July 18, 2025 — The following is a report from China.org.cn:
At the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), Simon, a Canadian host, deeply explored the advanced manufacturing area, showcasing how global supply chains are expediting advancements in aviation, drones, and intelligent manufacturing.
At the PwC exhibit, Simon discovered the VERTAXI eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft), a next-generation passenger drone created for urban air travel. This aircraft, capable of autonomous flight and rooftop launches, signifies a major advancement in the rapidly expanding low-altitude economy. PwC also provided a comprehensive overview of this developing industry chain, encompassing aircraft development, infrastructure, and service platforms.
Simon also stopped by the JOUAV booth, where he learned about the ways drones are revolutionizing emergency response. JOUAV’s vertical takeoff UAVs, used for everything from disaster relief and infrastructure inspection to unmanned flight systems, demonstrate how smart technologies are changing real-world applications.
At the Airbus booth, Simon investigated the complete supply chain ecosystem that supports the company’s aircraft. Through discussions with representatives from Airbus and its Chinese partners—including suppliers of titanium alloys, aircraft seating, and recycled composite materials—Simon discovered the extent to which Airbus has integrated itself into China’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem. Each supplier, from Hangyu Jiatai’s lightweight ergonomic seats to HRC’s sustainable recycling solutions, is essential to producing top-tier aircraft.
Simon’s exploration of the advanced manufacturing zone revealed an entire industrial process, from R&D and materials to precision parts and intelligent equipment, all made possible by supply chain collaboration. The success of advanced manufacturing, whether in aerospace, low-altitude mobility, rail transit, or industrial automation, hinges on effective global partnerships.
