(SeaPRwire) –   Two back-to-back weekends of RMSHA competition at Tamarack Resort are highlighted by top snowmobile athletes, viewing from chairlifts, and exciting on-mountain action.

TAMARACK, Idaho, March 29, 2026 — Tamarack Resort hosted the Rocky Mountain States Hillclimb Association (RMSHA) this weekend for the initial leg of two thrilling weekends of snowmobile hillclimb racing, attracting elite competitors and fans from the area. The second race weekend will be held again at Tamarack Resort on April 3-4, 2026.

Against the backdrop of Tamarack’s 2,800 vertical feet, racers tackled a quick and challenging course on the Spine and Tango ski trails, providing spectacular aerial and high-velocity action all weekend. The competition included a diverse field of riders, with juniors and adults racing in various classes. Notable results featured impressive showings by Ilya Pearl Edwards from Ennis, Montana; Garth Kaufman of Alta, Wyoming; and Keith Curtis of Dillon, Montana—demonstrating the depth of skill at this key RMSHA tour event.

An enhancement for this year, Tamarack improved the viewing experience by providing lift-accessed spectating on the Summit Express chairlift. Attendees rode the lift while observing amateur and pro snowmobile racers ascend the track, launch off jumps, and maneuver through difficult terrain directly beneath them—offering a distinctive and engaging way to watch the races.

“This event generates tremendous excitement on the mountain, and we are thrilled to collaborate with a partner such as RMSHA,” stated Kara Finley, Chief Operating Officer of Tamarack Resort. “These races perfectly display top-tier athleticism alongside the exceptional viewing opportunities available at Tamarack.” The Mid Mountain Lodge, located near the Summit Express and starting line, acted as the event’s main gathering spot, providing food, drinks, live music, and live race broadcasts via FloRacing.

The action resumes next weekend when RMSHA comes back to Tamarack for the second round of hillclimb races. The resort invites local riders and residents to participate in the Local’s division on Saturday, April 4—a special chance to race against peers for awards on a pro-level course. Fans are welcome to attend the second weekend of competition to enjoy live racing in an unparalleled alpine environment.

Extend the weekend by enjoying Easter festivities at Tamarack, featuring a special Easter Brunch at The Reserve, a family Easter Egg Hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, and holiday-themed activities—providing an ideal balance to the dynamic race events.
