Teamsters Seek Equitable First Union Agreement

YAKIMA, Wash., Jan. 17, 2026 — Approximately 200 healthcare employees at MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital, represented by Teamsters Local 760, will initiate an unfair labor practice (ULP) strike on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 6:30 a.m.

The action follows the hospital’s failure to provide a just agreement that guarantees higher pay, enhanced health and retirement benefits, employment security, and genuine workplace respect.

Local 760 has submitted several ULP charges against the facility for implementing one-sided modifications to employment terms without a negotiated contract. These workers became Teamsters members in January 2025.

Local 760 urges MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital to engage in meaningful negotiations and demonstrate the appreciation these essential healthcare employees deserve.
