Tim Hortons’ 60th anniversary in 2024 featured four retro donuts: the Blueberry Fritter, Cinnamon Sugar Twist, Dutchie, and Walnut Crunch. Nationally, the Walnut Crunch slightly outsold the Dutchie. However, in Atlantic Canada, Walnut Crunch sales were nearly triple those of the Dutchie.

The Apple Fritter remained the top-selling donut, following its 2023 victory over the Boston Cream. The Boston Cream, however, was the most popular in the Maritimes, while the Honey Cruller held its position as the favourite in Quebec, where it’s known as the “tractor wheel”. The Chocolate Glazed Timbit was the most popular Timbit across Canada.

Introduced in April, Tims Flatbread Pizzas saw Pepperoni emerge as the most popular flavour, surpassing Chicken Parmesan.

Other top Tim Hortons orders in 2024 included:

  • The Double Double™ coffee remained the most popular coffee, and the Iced Capp, celebrating its 25th anniversary, was the top cold beverage.
  • For Infusr energy drinks (launched in July), Blackberry Yuzu was the favourite flavour; Strawberry Watermelon led in Quenchers.
  • The Bacon and Cheese Omelette Bites were the most popular breakfast item.
  • The Halloween Ghost Mug was the top-selling merchandise item.
  • Charitable initiatives, including the Special Olympics Donut, Smile Cookie, Camp Day, Orange Sprinkle Donut, and Holiday Smile Cookie, raised $44.1 million.
  • The Tims Rewards app’s most popular offer was for hot beverages, and the most frequent points redemption was for a free coffee.
  • The most popular delivery order was for four coffees.

“2024 was a significant year, marking our 60th anniversary. We thank our guests for their continued loyalty and our restaurant owners and team members for their dedication,” said Axel Schwan, president of Tim Hortons.

“We have exciting plans for 2025.”
