On Tuesday, the President delivered a strong warning to Hamas, cautioning the terrorist organization that if it does not disarm, “we will disarm them.”

Speaking to reporters from the White House while meeting with Argentinian President Javier Milei, he stated, “They claimed they would disarm, and if they don’t, we will disarm them.”

Trump’s remarks came a day after all 20 living hostages were released into after nearly 740 days of Hamas captivity in the Gaza Strip. However, most of the 28 deceased hostages have not yet been returned.

Hamas had agreed to repatriate all hostages, both alive and deceased, as part of a deal reached with Israel. This agreed-upon timeframe officially started on Saturday and concluded on Monday.

Yet, Hamas indicated that it might be unable to locate all the bodies of the deceased, including Americans Omer Neutra and Itay Chen. An was established over the weekend to assist in their recovery.

“Above all else, get the hostages back,” Trump asserted, adding that Hamas had “misrepresented” the number of bodies it would be capable of returning.

“I want them back. That’s what they said. I want them back,” Trump reiterated. “Also, they said they were going to disarm.”

Trump did not specify the exact actions he would take to forcibly “disarm” Hamas, though he has stated he would support Israel in executing its full military objectives in the Gaza Strip if the terrorist network refuses to surrender its weapons.

The was scheduled to commence in the second phase of the agreement, which was set to begin after all the hostages had been returned.

However, Trump suggested on Tuesday via a Truth Social post that the second phase had already begun, writing, “All 20 hostages are back and feeling as good as can be expected. A big burden has been lifted, but the job is not done. The dead have not been returned, as promised! Phase two begins right now!!!”

Once Hamas disarms, the Israel Defense Force is also expected to further withdraw from the enclave.
