(SeaPRwire) –   The first federal stablecoin law established the rules. AI systems integrated them within months. The 5W AI Visibility Index tracks how ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews currently characterize stablecoins using over 60 prompts.

MIAMI, May 29, 2026 — 5W AI Communications, known as the AI Communications Firm, has launched The Stablecoin Trust Index 2026. This study reveals that leading AI engines have already incorporated the framework of the GENIUS Act, the inaugural U.S. federal stablecoin legislation. They now categorize stablecoins into three positions in routine responses: compliant, hedged, or warned.

The Index evaluates 25 stablecoins using an AI Trust Score, a 0–100 metric based on how ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews portray each token when queried about its safety or regulatory status. The data covers Q2 2026. Every one of the 60+ monitored prompts was executed five times per engine in separate, clean sessions.

The primary discovery: the world’s biggest stablecoin places tenth. USDT, boasting a market cap of approximately $189 billion, resides in the hedge category. The AI systems recognize its size but promptly add caveats regarding its offshore setup and audit record. USDC, a smaller but audited competitor, secures the top spot with a Trust Score of 95.

“Legislation was enacted, and in a matter of months, AI engines began applying its principles in every response,” stated Ronn Torossian, Founder and Chairman of 5W. “The planet’s largest stablecoin now receives a qualified answer as it operates outside the regulatory boundary. The smaller, audited alternative is endorsed. Market dominance did not shield the established player—transparency shielded the newcomer. Every regulated industry will soon experience this. The engines interpret the law more swiftly than the market can.”

Key findings:

  • USDC tops the Index with a score of 95. Its reserve attestations and adherence to the GENIUS Act position it as the AI systems’ go-to “safe stablecoin” suggestion.
  • PYUSD, USDP, RLUSD, USAₜ, and JPMorgan’s Kinexys group within the compliant tier. The credibility from established brands and bank-issued frameworks is instantly conveyed.
  • USDT places tenth with a score of 52. Its massive scale is noted. Its offshore legal structure and debated audit trail relegate it to the hedge tier.
  • DAI, USDe, FRAX, crvUSD — models backed by crypto or using synthetic mechanisms are hedged due to not fitting neatly into any existing regulatory box.
  • TerraUSD, BUSD, IRON, USDR — tokens that have collapsed or been discontinued remain in AI answers for years as persistent warnings. Their history of failure is permanently etched into the AI’s knowledge base.

The Index also outlines six fundamental principles influencing AI trust in stablecoins — such as transparency surpassing sheer size, the term ‘algorithmic’ triggering caution, and trust from banks and major brands transferring instantly. It also details six trends specific to 2026, including the July deadline for GENIUS Act enforcement, investment shifting toward compliant tokens, and the uncertain regulatory standing of DeFi-originated stablecoins
