PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Jan. 30, 2026 — The Palm Springs Air Museum is proud to announce the return of America’s Freedom Tribute, featuring an 80% scale replica of the Vietnam Wall and the Cost of Freedom Tribute. This traveling memorial measures roughly 350 feet in length and reaches 8 feet at its highest point. It will be exhibited on the tarmac behind the Palm Springs Air Museum at 745 N. Gene Autry Trail, Palm Springs, CA 92262. The exhibit will open to the public on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM and will remain accessible 24 hours a day until it closes on Wednesday morning, February 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

The AFT Traveling Vietnam Wall is an 80% scale reproduction of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., inscribed with the names of 58,307 U.S. service members who lost their lives in the Vietnam War. Additionally, AVTT will present the Cost of Freedom Tribute, a collection of smaller panels that honor American sacrifices in 20th and 21st-century conflicts, such as WWI, WWII, 9/11, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

AFT is the acronym for America’s Freedom Tribute, a non-profit organization owned and operated by veterans that oversees the Traveling Vietnam Wall and other memorials. For additional details, visit

Local sponsors collaborating with the Palm Springs Air Museum to present the AFT Traveling Vietnam Wall and Cost of Freedom Tribute are the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, Desert Water Agency, Jessup Auto Plaza, Sherman’s Deli – Palm Springs, and Splash House.

The Palm Springs Air Museum is a living history institution that hosts a collection of more than 75 vintage airframes representing Military Aviation from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cold War, and later periods. Notable civilian aircraft, including Clay Lacey’s Lear 24 and Walt Disney’s Grumman 1, complement the military exhibits. A significant number of the aircraft are operational and take to the skies regularly. The aircraft and displays are located within 91,000 square feet of open hangars and on the tarmac of the 17-acre property. The Museum is open every day from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and February 7, 2026). Children aged 12 and under receive free admission with a paying adult.
