MADRID, Nov. 22, 2024 — Arctech, a leading global provider of solar tracking and racking solutions, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 18th to mark the opening of its new European headquarters in Madrid, Spain. The event included Chairman and President Cai Hao, EU market General Manager Pedro Magalhaes, and other notable attendees. This move underscores Arctech’s commitment to deeper European market penetration and growth.

Spain, situated in southwestern Europe, boasts abundant solar resources. In 2023, it added 5.59 GW of new photovoltaic capacity, increasing its total to 25.54 GW—a 28% year-over-year increase. Other European nations, including Italy, Greece, and Romania, have also experienced substantial photovoltaic growth, driven by energy transition initiatives and government support.
Recognizing Europe’s significant solar energy potential and market demand, Arctech entered the market in 2023, establishing a service center, regional headquarters, and R&D center in Spain. The company now provides a comprehensive service system covering the entire solar project lifecycle, encompassing design, support, delivery, and O&M.
The expansion of Arctech’s European headquarters will strengthen its local service network, enabling the creation of specialized customer, project, and delivery support teams to cater to the European market’s tailored solution and lifecycle service needs.
In his opening remarks, Arctech Chairman and President, Mr. Cai Hao, stated, “Arctech has always embraced a global strategy and an open, inclusive approach to global engagement. Relocating our European headquarters is a key strategic decision to build differentiated product and service capabilities focused on our European customers. We are committed to greater integration within Spanish and European society and industry, fostering further growth, job creation, and social responsibility.”
Following a customer-centric approach, Arctech has implemented localization strategies this year, including establishing manufacturing facilities in Saudi Arabia and Brazil, a Middle East R&D center, and the relocation of its European headquarters. The company currently operates three offshore regional headquarters, four service centers, 17 branches, and six manufacturing bases worldwide, fueling its international expansion through a blend of global and local service networks.
