MARKET TO MARKET
ANOTHER BIELAT SANTORE & COMPANY TRADE
NORMANDY BEACH, N.J., May 16, 2025 — Lasolas Market (& Deli), located at 3591 Route 35 North in Normandy Beach, Ocean County, New Jersey, has been sold, according to Robert Gillis, the real estate agent from Bielat Santore & Company in Allenhurst, New Jersey, who oversaw the transaction. For over two decades, this popular, comprehensive market was run by the same family. A cherished destination for Barrier Island residents and visitors during the summer months (May to September), the original owners established a strong reputation for providing top-quality sandwiches, salads, prepared meals, market goods, fresh produce, and custom-cut premium meats. They catered to the large number of summer tourists, preparing all items fresh daily on the premises using traditional family recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, BBQs, and everything in between.
“This deal was a meeting of the minds and a meeting of the meats,” said Mr. Gillis. Bielat Santore & Company has been known since 1978 for its ability to match the perfect buyer with the right seller, and this deal was no different. Mid-Shore Meats of Toms River was looking to expand its presence in Ocean County, and the Jersey Shore provided an ideal opportunity. With over 30 years of success, Mid-Shore prides itself on being a traditional butcher shop and deli, specializing in Italian meats and delicacies. The business is known for its wide array of delicious, house-made sausages, stuffed breads, subs, salads, and wraps, as well as its famous mozzarella and Brooklyn breads. Mid-Shore Meats’ motto is, “We are not the best, but there’s no one better.”
The new owners plan to operate the 2025 season similarly to previous years while also introducing their own unique specialty items. To ensure a smooth transition, the former owners and key staff will remain on-site throughout the season. Lasolas Market is open seven days a week from May through September and closed for the winter.
