BOLTON-EST, QC, April 25, 2026 – Our government takes pride in funding a variety of cultural venues that help advance our culture and artists. These inclusive spaces, which drive local economies, unite us and reinforce our communities through creative, innovative, and inclusive activities.

Today, Louis Villeneuve, Member of Parliament for Brome–Missisquoi, announced $188,777 in financial support for the Rucher Boltonnois organization in the l’Estrie region. He delivered the announcement on behalf of the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages.

This support from the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund will be allocated to creating a dynamic, professional performance hall focused on artistic creativity, attractive to established artists, and a platform for showcasing new talent. The initiative includes installing a stage and dressing room, as well as purchasing specialized equipment. This upgrade will enable the organization to provide optimal conditions for artists and technicians, adhere to the highest industry standards, and enhance the diversity of the local cultural landscape.

Quick Facts

Established in 2018, Rucher Boltonnois is a non-profit organization based in Quebec’s l’Estrie region. Its goal is to encourage the social and cultural growth of the Bolton-Est community and nearby areas.

In 2024, the organization produced close to 60 professional music and comedy shows. It also serves as the official programmer for the Cantons Folk & Blues Festival, which will see its third edition this summer.

The Canada Cultural Spaces Fund works to enhance the physical conditions that foster innovation within artistic, heritage, and creative sectors.
