NEW YORK, Feb. 14, 2025 — Barboltian, the Clash Royale video game character, makes his musical debut through a collaboration between Sony Music Publishing and Supercell, distributed by The Orchard, with a remake of a timeless love song.

Clash Royale belongs to a franchise boasting 4 billion downloads and over $14 billion in revenue. However, since its 2016 release, Supercell has seen some longtime players depart in recent years.

To engage fans for Valentine’s Day, the team partnered with Grammy Award-winning artist Michael Bolton to reimagine one of his greatest hits. Michael Bolton collaborated with the Clash Royale team on a new version of his classic hit, How Am I Supposed to Live Without You.

Duetting with Michael Bolton is the Clash Royale Barbarian, a well-known video game character. For this project, the Barbarian has adopted a 90s-inspired look, complete with a mullet and extended mustache, transforming into Barboltian.

The song is available starting today on all major streaming services.

Michael Bolton said: “How am I Supposed to Live Without You” has been a hit for me twice and I’m excited to see it land with a new generation through this collaboration with Barboltian.” 

Barboltian said: …nothing. He doesn’t really talk, unless you count singing.
