DONGYANG, China, Nov. 6, 2024 — DMEGC Solar’s Lianyungang Factory has earned the ISO 14068 Organizational Carbon Neutrality Achievement Verification Statement, marking the first such certification awarded by TÜV SÜD in the solar photovoltaic industry. Simultaneously, DMEGC Solar’s three factories in Sihong, Lianyungang, and Yibin have received both the Organizational Carbon Verification Statement and Green Energy Consumption Verification Statement.
During the certification process, TÜV SÜD conducted a carbon neutrality assessment of the Lianyungang facility based on the ISO 14064-3:2019, GHG Protocol, and ISO 14068:2023 standards. The assessment findings revealed that the facility has implemented effective emission reduction strategies and achieved carbon neutrality through the purchase of carbon credits from internationally recognized voluntary emission reduction initiatives, solidifying its status as a true “Carbon Neutral Factory.”
Concurrently, TÜV SÜD conducted carbon and green energy consumption verification for the three facilities in Sihong, Lianyungang, and Yibin, adhering to ISO 14064-3:2019 and GHG Protocol standards. This verification encompassed direct emissions at the organizational level, indirect energy emissions, and emissions generated throughout the value chain. The results confirm that these facilities have achieved 100% green energy consumption.
DMEGC has established a commitment to achieving carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050. Through ongoing improvements to its environmental and resource management system, promotion of green energy use, construction of zero-carbon factories, and other practical initiatives, DMEGC is setting a precedent for the photovoltaic industry and garnering widespread market recognition.
DMEGC Solar has established six production facilities globally, and will reach an annual production capacity of 23GW of cells and 21GW of modules by the end of the year. In the first half of 2024, DMEGC Solar once again ranked among the top 10 in module shipments, with cumulative shipments exceeding 45GW.
