BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 11, 2026 — Fractus, a trailblazer in antenna technology and intellectual property (IP) licensing, today announced a new patent licensing deal with RPX Corporation, a licensing aggregator, that grows its roster of licensees.

The agreement highlights the ongoing uptake of connected safety devices that rely on compact, high-performance multiband antennas—used in everything from monitored alarm panels, hubs or home base stations to cameras, wearables, and pendant devices. By consolidating multiple implementers into one negotiation process, the two parties finalized an efficient, amicable licensing transaction that aligns with Fractus’ licensing frameworks. RPX’s seasoned, creative approach to deal-making delivered an efficient licensing solution for its members and Fractus—avoiding the waste of time, money, and goodwill on legal disputes that can derail optimal outcomes for stakeholders.
“This RPX agreement represents a practical path to large-scale licensing,” said Jordi Ilario, CEO of Fractus. “It underscores the momentum of connected safety in the U.S. and adds several reputable providers to our licensee community.”
Demand for connected safety devices is growing rapidly, driving an increased need for miniature, multiband antenna technology that enables reliable connectivity. Berg Insights estimates there were 36.0 million active monitored alarm systems in the U.S. and Canada at the end of 2023, with growth forecast to 42.9 million by 2028. For medical alert systems, Berg Insights projects the North American user base will rise from 5.2 million in 2023 to 7.5 million in 2028, while market value will grow from €2.7 billion (US$2.9 billion) in 2023 to €4.1 billion (US$4.5 billion) by 2028.
