ATHENS, Greece, Dec. 2, 2025 — GAC today formally introduced its electric SUV, the AION V, to the Greek market. Greece represents the fourth European country, following Finland, Poland, and Portugal, where GAC vehicles are now available. This expansion enhances the presence of premium electric vehicles in Southern Europe and aligns with GAC’s commitment to accelerating EV adoption throughout the continent, thereby contributing to regional climate objectives.

AION V

Tailored to address Greece’s demands for environmental responsibility, occupant safety, and ample interior space, the AION V provides significant benefits in terms of its technological features and overall user journey. It boasts a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, offers a WLTP range of 510 kilometers, and can be fast-charged from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes. For enduring dependability, the model comes with an 8-year/160,000-kilometer vehicle warranty and an 8-year/200,000-kilometer battery warranty, providing peace of mind to buyers regarding longevity and lower ownership expenses. Coupled with Greece’s expanding charging infrastructure, the AION V effectively eliminates concerns about range limitations.

Sales and service network

The introduction of the AION V in Greece is a crucial element of GAC’s broader pan-European strategy, which gained momentum after a global partnership deal was inked with Inchcape at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. This collaboration combines Inchcape’s well-established sales and service infrastructure with GAC’s cutting-edge technology.

European development

Following the unveiling of its “European Market Plan” at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, GAC has identified Europe as a key strategic market, subsequently entering Poland, Portugal, and Finland in quick succession. GAC’s objective is to achieve comprehensive coverage across Europe by 2028, supported by continuous initiatives in developing distribution channels, improving service systems, and integrating the industrial supply chain.
