INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 29, 2024 — Interim Diagnostic Imaging (IDI), a Modular Devices company, specializing in mobile imaging solutions, has launched a 10-foot-wide mobile MRI scanner. This is two feet wider than existing models.

IDI is a Modular Devices Company

This new scanner will be showcased at the RSNA Annual Meeting in Chicago (December 1-4, 2024, Booth #1569), in collaboration with TDC Trailer and Larry Sodomire, the trailer’s engineer and manufacturer. Healthcare professionals are invited to see this new mobile MRI.

Redefining Mobile Imaging
Unlike standard 8-foot-wide mobile MRI scanners, IDI’s 10-foot model provides a 25% larger workspace. This improvement benefits both patients and staff by offering:

  • A larger patient preparation area accommodating MRI-safe gurneys, enhancing comfort and workflow.
  • More space in the control room for improved staff efficiency.
  • Two extra feet around the table and magnet for easier, safer patient positioning.
  • Streamlined deployment as modular building permits are unnecessary, enabling rapid operational setup.

Siemens Aera MRI Technology Integration
The trailer integrates the Siemens Aera 1.5T MRI system, known for its image quality and patient comfort (70 cm open bore). Its advanced coils support diverse imaging applications. Real-time monitoring and a Siemens OEM service agreement ensure reliable performance.

Adaptable and Dependable
IDI and TDC Trailer designed the trailer for flexibility, offering short- and long-term rental options to suit various healthcare providers. This approach allows facilities to adapt their imaging capacity without long-term commitments.

The Future of Mobile MRI at RSNA
Modular Devices CEO, Mark Koers, stated, “Building on 40 years of mobile imaging expertise, we’ve developed this 10-foot-wide MRI in response to customer demand for more space. It enhances workflow and patient comfort, particularly where space and efficiency are paramount.”

Visitors to RSNA 2024 can explore the trailer at Booth #1569. For leasing information on IDI and Modular Devices’ mobile imaging trailers, visit .
