(SeaPRwire) – Tack, an Agent-native storage and memory layer, is Inference Room’s first product
LONDON and SINGAPORE, May 18, 2026 — Inference Room commenced operations last week, establishing itself as a platform for AI Agents and their supporting infrastructure. Its inaugural product, Tack, was released concurrently. Tack functions as a storage and memory layer designed for autonomous software operations, and it is now generally available without a waiting list, aligning with Inference Room’s commitment to immediate deployment.
Across the AI and crypto sectors, development is underway for AI Agents and the necessary infrastructure. Proposals such as ERC-8004 for trust standards and x402 for payment mechanisms are emerging, and APIs tailored for agents are beginning to supersede tools designed for human interaction. Much of this work remains in the conceptual stage, whereas Inference Room is already operational.
“A significant portion of current AI Agent development still operates under the assumption that a human is actively involved, managing account setups and credit card entries on behalf of the Agent. We established Inference Room because products and tools in this domain often spend excessive time in ideation and documentation rather than in production. Every product we release becomes available on the day of its announcement and is designed to function for the Agent without human intervention. Tack is the first of these, and a second product is already in development,” stated Joaquin Mendes, COO of Inference Room.
Tack provides a storage layer that AI Agents can utilize autonomously. It eliminates the need for API key provisioning or account registration. Agents can engage in pay-per-pin transactions using USDC, gaining versioned, addressable access to files, state, and memory via an Agent-native API. Storing 5MB for one month costs $0.0010 USDC. In contrast, all other cloud storage solutions necessitate an account, an API key, and a credit card, none of which an Agent can independently establish.
Tack has also introduced a secondary storage option today for private wallet-gated objects, enabling the secure storage of an Agent’s accumulated state between operational cycles, accessible only to the paying wallet.
Inference Room adheres to six core principles: ship only, Agents first, AI meets chain at the edge, provide Agents with walls, keys, and receipts, ship constantly, and maintain no gates or waitlists. The complete manifesto can be found at inferenceroom.ai. A second product is currently in development and will be announced on x.com/inferenceroom.
