PITTSBURGH, March 14, 2025 — An inventor from Fort Wayne, Ind., has developed “THE CABLE CHECKER,” a handheld electronic testing tool for winch cables. The inventor stated, “I wanted to create a device that towing services and other businesses could use to analyze steel wire cables for flaws, defects, or weaknesses that might be missed during a visual inspection. My design offers a more thorough and accurate alternative to visually inspecting a winch, providing valuable information about the cable’s strength and safety.”
This invention offers an efficient method for evaluating the strength and capabilities of winch cables. By identifying potential issues, it helps prevent sudden and unexpected breaks caused by cable flaws, weaknesses, or defects, ultimately enhancing safety. Its precise and user-friendly design makes it suitable for industries like vehicle towing, mining, construction, and logging. Furthermore, a prototype and technical drawings are available upon request.
The original design has been submitted to InventHelp’s National sales office and is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
