MIAMI, Nov. 22, 2024 — The Gary Nader Art Centre hosted a significant event on Thursday, November 21, 2024, where Miss Universe 2024, Victoria Kjær Theilvig, received the Keys to the City of Miami from Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. This honor celebrated Miss Universe’s accomplishments and her role as a global advocate for empowerment, inclusivity, and leadership.

Miami was Miss Universe’s first official city visit, highlighting its status as a global center for culture, art, and women’s empowerment. The event included local and international media, Miami-Dade commissioners, and notable figures such as Raúl Rocha, President of Miss Universe, Emilio Estefan, and interior designer Adriana Hoyos. Gary Nader, aiming to establish Miami as a global leader in art and culture—following the successful return of the Latin GRAMMYs—announced a plan to bring the Miss Universe 2026 competition to Miami. This proposal, backed by Raúl Rocha, reflects their shared goal of positioning Miami as a cultural epicenter and leader in female empowerment.
