  • This agreement enables MTN to provide highly secure, mission-critical communications by utilizing SpaceX’s sophisticated Government LEO satellite network.

  • By joining a limited group of authorized providers, MTN gains a distinctive market standing, empowering it to supply a complete, customized network service for the U.S. government.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Feb. 18, 2026 — MTN, a world-class network operator delivering seamless, resilient connectivity anywhere it is required, has announced a significant agreement with SpaceX to become an authorized provider of its government satellite connectivity services.

MTN Satellite Communications

This partnership strategically equips MTN to offer highly secure, mission-critical communications that leverage SpaceX’s advanced Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network, which is specifically engineered to satisfy the strict security and performance needs of government and defense clients. The launch of these services meets the increasing demand from the defense, government, and energy sectors for highly secure, low-latency global connectivity from MTN.

“Integrating this government-focused network from SpaceX is a key competitive advantage for MTN,” stated Scott Davis, President and CEO of MTN Government Solutions. “Our clients in aerospace, defense, and government require connectivity that is not only fast and worldwide but also completely secure and exceptionally resilient. This step allows us to provide communications with the highest levels of assurance, which perfectly supplements our current Starlink-based commercial offerings and guarantees mission-critical continuity, whether at sea or in isolated locations across the globe.”

As one of only a handful of authorized providers, MTN will offer a specialized solution featuring several unique, high-end characteristics:

  • High-Assurance Cryptography: Providing advanced security features essential for classified missions and handling sensitive information, exceeding standard commercial encryption.
  • Resilience and Redundancy: Leveraging a vast, distributed LEO constellation architecture that is built to deliver inherent robustness and reliable, global communications for challenging mobile platforms.
  • Tailored Mission Support: Availability of SpaceX’s modular satellite technology and specialized user hardware designed for government and military applications, such as Earth Observation and secure Command and Control.

Under this agreement, MTN will introduce a specialized version of its MTN Rugged Mini Kit, a portable, all-in-one Starlink deployment system, customized for government and defense use. This new offering expands upon MTN’s recent major developments, like the introduction of StarEdge Horizon. Whereas StarEdge Horizon delivers a Layer 2-based private network using the commercial Starlink constellation for businesses, SpaceX’s government network enhances this functionality by supplying the military-grade security and resilience needed for high-assurance, government-specific uses.

The new services are being introduced immediately into MTN’s government and defense portfolio, providing instant performance and security enhancements to clients working in the planet’s most crucial settings.
