OTTAWA, ON, Dec. 24, 2024 – NAV CANADA today announced that Santa Claus is ready for departure from the North Pole Airport, thanks to a swift response from its team and an innovative lighting solution. This ensures the timely and safe delivery of gifts.
The Green Grunch’s theft of the airport runway lights created a significant challenge, reducing visibility to zero and jeopardizing Christmas deliveries.
However, Rudolph’s bright nose and the collaboration with NAV CANADA’s technical experts enabled the lighting system’s timely restoration.
“This could have been disastrous!” said Santa Claus. “But thanks to NAV CANADA’s team and Rudolph, we’re back on track. I’m grateful for their holiday dedication!”
Rudolph, now an honorary NAV CANADA technologist, stated: “I’m always happy to help. The NAV CANADA team was highly efficient. A career here might be appealing, provided they offer carrots.”
Mark Cooper, NAV CANADA’s President and CEO, praised the collaboration: “Our team prioritizes the safe and efficient travel of all air passengers, including Santa’s colorful deliveries. Santa’s on his way!”
The Green Grunch, reportedly experiencing remorse, was observed removing tight shoes and expressing regret for his actions.
The North Pole’s Chief of Police, “Gingerbread”, stated that while the Grunch’s remorse earned him hot cocoa, charges would be filed.
