ATLANTA, July 1, 2025 — Endless Mode, a fresh website focusing on games, anime, theme parks, and interactive entertainment, has launched today under the Paste Media umbrella. It will provide daily content covering the spheres of play and amusement, led by editor-in-chief Garrett Martin, who previously served as the long-standing editor of Paste Magazine’s gaming section.
It will build upon the acclaimed games content from Paste Games, previously overseen by Garrett Martin. The site will broaden its scope beyond video games to include daily coverage of anime, theme parks, tabletop games, and pinball. Elijah Gonzalez, formerly Paste Games’ assistant editor, will serve as associate editor alongside Martin, assisting in the management of a varied team of contributing writers who collectively possess decades of experience in games media. Together, they aim to shape discussions surrounding games, anime, and theme parks through insightful criticism, objective journalism, and a profound dedication to their respective areas of knowledge.
Martin takes the helm with more than two decades of expertise in journalism, critical analysis, and digital media. Since 2011, he has managed Paste’s gaming section, contributing to the development of careers for many highly regarded critics and journalists in the gaming industry, and examining the increasing cultural significance of games. During his time at Paste, he also edited various other sections, holding the Senior Editor position since 2019 and directing Paste’s celebrated coverage of theme parks, immersive art, and interactive entertainment. His commitment to featuring new and diverse perspectives, combined with his history of curating engaging, industry-influencing content, is set to establish Endless Mode as a dynamic and insightful leader in the realms of games, anime, and theme parks.
“The opportunity to launch Endless Mode is truly unique, and one I couldn’t forego,” Martin commented. “I am immensely proud of Paste Games’ achievements during my leadership, and it’s a distinct honor and privilege to extend that work into a more expansive, thorough, and comprehensive platform. Games are not merely entertainment; they hold significant cultural weight, mirroring current societal trends and shaping future ones, much like films or television. Endless Mode will provide an unprecedented platform for discussing games, especially during a period of significant transformation within the gaming industry and media. Furthermore, we will apply the same passion and critical depth to anime, a unique medium that gains more prominence annually, as well as to the captivating domains of theme parks and interactive entertainment.”
Gonzalez has rapidly advanced within Paste Media since starting as an intern in 2022, distinguishing himself as a notable critic and analyst in the fields of anime and games. After being appointed Paste’s assistant TV editor in 2023, he took charge of the site’s anime reporting, and since early 2024, as assistant games editor, he has been crucial to the site’s games coverage. In his new role as associate editor at Endless Mode, he will persist in covering video games and will supervise all aspects of anime coverage.
“Joining Endless Mode as an editor is truly a dream realized,” Gonzalez stated. “I’m incredibly eager to collaborate with our skilled team of contributors to produce anime and games writing that is engaging, insightful, and relevant. Specifically, despite anime’s growing global appeal, it frequently goes unnoticed by mainstream media, and we aim to contribute, however modestly, to addressing this oversight. Whether we’re reporting on the newest Shonen Jump adaptation or highlighting numerous overlooked series that might otherwise be forgotten, our goal is to assist both long-time anime enthusiasts and new viewers in discovering what to watch.”
“A significant commonality among games, anime, and theme parks is their capacity to forge captivating new worlds that are thrilling to explore,” Martin noted. “This feeling of boundless potential is the foundational principle for Endless Mode, and we are keen to share these explorations with our audience.”
