(SeaPRwire) – CHICAGO, May 7, 2026 — Reactivate is pleased to announce a new collaboration with Tribal Energy Alternatives (TEA) aimed at advancing clean energy workforce development for tribal community members. Supported by funding from Reactivate’s Renewable Energy Equity Foundation (REEF), this partnership will offer training to up to 50 tribal participants through a comprehensive solar curriculum, delivering practical installation experience, industry-recognized certifications, and the establishment of a dedicated solar lab to help meet growing demand for reliable, locally managed power infrastructure.
As the nation’s energy grid ages and electricity demand rises, the sector confronts a significant shortage of skilled professionals. This partnership centers on TEA’s Tribal Workforce Development initiative. Through REEF grant funding, the program will deliver renewable energy training across five states—Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Washington—alongside the construction of a specialized solar lab.
“We recognize the essential role developers play in building a robust clean energy workforce,” said Utopia Hill, CEO of Reactivate. “We are enthusiastic about partnering with TEA and tribal communities to support an initiative that delivers real results and empowers tribal members.”
Program Highlights & Impact
This effort moves beyond conventional classroom learning by offering comprehensive support to trainees:
- Comprehensive Curriculum: The program targets the graduation of up to 50 trainees.
- Certifications: Participants will gain hands-on solar installation experience and receive OSHA 10 and CPR certifications.
- Financial & Career Support: To promote lasting career advancement, the funding covers trainee stipends, resume development, and job placement services.
- Technical Infrastructure: Funds will be used directly to establish a solar lab supporting ongoing technical education.
“The REEF Reactivate partnership represents more than financial backing—it’s about creating meaningful opportunity,” stated Tanksi Clairmont, Co-Executive Director of TEA. “By investing in TEA’s place-based tribal workforce training model across five states, we are equipping tribal communities with the skills, tools, and pathways necessary to lead in the clean energy economy for years ahead.”
