BEIJING, Sept. 10, 2024 — Seraphim, a leading global solar product manufacturer, recently announced its 776 MW high-efficiency solar PV project portfolio currently under construction in southwest China’s Yunnan Province.

The project, which encompasses six sub-projects scattered across Chuxiong, Lincang, Qujing, and Guangnan in Yunnan, has made significant progress since its commencement in late 2023. Two sub-projects have already been completed, with the remaining four currently under active construction. Upon full completion, the project is expected to deliver 1.3 TWh of clean electricity annually to the local grid, showcasing a strong commitment to sustainable energy.

Significantly, all PV modules employed in the project are Seraphim’s Seco 182mm bifacial modules. Integrating multi-busbar, high-density encapsulation, and half-cell technologies, the Seco Series 182mm bifacial module achieves an energy conversion rate exceeding 21.3 percent, a 10-30 percent rear-side power generation gain, and reliable transport.

Polaris Li, chairman of Seraphim, highlighted Yunnan’s strategic importance for the company and expressed confidence in their continued contribution to the province’s green energy objectives. Seraphim outperformed its competitors and secured the position as the primary module supplier for this project in Yunnan, once again demonstrating its industry-leading prowess and brand value.

In May of this year, Seraphim inaugurated a new production base in Yunnan’s Guangnan County, with a planned production capacity of 1GW, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting the high-quality development of Yunnan’s PV industry.

Looking ahead, Seraphim plans to promote the implementation of additional clean energy projects in Yunnan, aiming to assist the province in becoming a green energy powerhouse, according to Polaris.
