SAN DIEGO, May 19, 2025 — SOLV Energy revealed at a conference in Phoenix this week that it has been awarded contracts from prominent developers to build over 6 gigawatts (GW) of utility-scale solar and storage facilities. These projects span several states, including Arizona, Mississippi, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, and California. The assets are owned by both long-term clients, such as , and , and new clients, including , and . Construction on these new projects is expected to commence in 2025 and continue beyond.
To meet the increasing energy demands across the United States, SOLV Energy is investing heavily in hiring and training regional project teams. This includes recruiting local project managers who possess knowledge of regional conditions, permitting procedures, and regulatory requirements. SOLV Energy is also broadening its self-performance capabilities to expedite construction schedules, improve quality, and lower costs for its customers. In January, the company announced its acquisition of (formerly known as Sacramento Drilling), a provider of foundation solutions for solar energy and T&D projects. This acquisition brings solar pre-drill and pile foundation expertise in-house, enabling SOLV Energy to handle intricate projects in varied terrains and environmental settings.
“The demand for energy continues its rapid growth, and we are dedicated to investing in the capabilities our customers require for larger and more complex power projects,” stated George Hershman, CEO of SOLV Energy. “The significant number of projects awarded to us this year demonstrates that customers recognize the value of our investments in expanding our capabilities and our role as a comprehensive lifecycle provider.”
