MECHELEN, Belgium, Jan. 6, 2025 — Spectricity, a leader in multispectral imaging for mobile devices, today launched its S1-A Accessory Device at CES 2025.

Spectricity S1-A Accessory Device with a Commercial Standard Tablet

The S1-A, featuring a 15-channel multispectral imaging sensor, makes spectral imaging accessible on mobile platforms. This opens doors for innovative applications in Color Matching & Correction, Personalized Skincare, Food & Agriculture, and Material Identification.

Key Features of the S1-A Accessory Device:

  • High-Performance Sensor: Utilizes Spectricity’s S1 VIS multispectral image sensor with on-chip pixelated spectral filters, capturing 15-channel spectral images at a high frame rate without scanning.
  • Efficient Processing: Optimized spectral image processing ensures low latency and extended battery life.
  • Plug-and-Play Design: Easily integrates with mobile devices for simple spectral imaging. Connects to Android devices via USB (iOS compatibility coming soon).
  • Compact and Portable: Designed for convenient, on-the-go use.
  • User-Friendly App: Features an intuitive interface and efficient data collection with preview mode, basic camera controls, and one-click capture.
  • Simultaneous RGB & MSI Imaging: Captures high-resolution RGB images from the host device and high-spectral MSI images from the S1-A for comprehensive data analysis.

“The S1-A empowers developers to build the next generation of mobile spectral imaging applications,” said Henrik Andersen, Spectricity CMO. “We’re thrilled to showcase this at CES 2025 and unleash the potential of mobile multispectral imaging.”

CES 2025 Live Demonstration

At CES 2025, Spectricity will demonstrate its skin analysis application using the S1-A on a commercial tablet. Users will receive AI-driven skincare recommendations based on skin tone and biomarker detection from S1-A’s multispectral imager.
