EDMONTON, AB, May 25, 2026 – On November 21, 2025, the Alberta Court of King’s Bench (the “Court”) issued an Initial Order granting the Companies creditor protection under the CCAA. Under this Initial Order, Ernst & Young Inc. was designated as the Monitor of the Companies (the “Monitor”). Subsequently, on November 28, 2025, the Court issued an Amended and Restated Initial Order (“ARIO”), confirming both the ongoing CCAA proceedings and the Monitor’s appointment.
Operating through Sirona Pharma Inc. (“Sirona”), the Companies previously engaged in cultivating, processing, and wholesaling medical cannabis. Sirona has been inactive since the start of these CCAA proceedings; however, its Health Canada Licence was successfully reinstated on May 6, 2026.
Sirona’s assets include a 126,800-square-foot indoor facility consisting of three buildings, specifically built for the cultivation, processing, and distribution of medical cannabis (the “Facility”). This Facility is situated at 14129 East Bank Road, Yellowhead County, near Peers, Alberta.
The Sale and Investment Solicitation Process (“SISP”)
The Court approved a SISP Order on May 20, 2026, which empowers the Monitor to carry out the SISP for the Companies. This process is designed to attract interest in the Companies’ business, assets, or undertakings, either through acquisition offers or investment proposals. Unless extended or modified by the Monitor, the deadline to submit Qualified Bids (as defined by the SISP) is June 24, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. MT.
The Monitor is scheduling site visits for the Facility between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on the dates listed below. Interested parties should contact the Monitor directly to book an appointment.
Tuesday, June 9, 2026;
Wednesday, June 10, 2026; and
Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
