BOULDER, Colo., and BEND, Ore., June 5, 2025 — Vero Broadband, LLC, which operates as Vero Fiber (Vero), a leading provider of fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) internet, has announced a definitive agreement to purchase BendTel, Inc., **a telecom company based and operating locally that has been serving central Oregon for over 20 years**. This strategic purchase will add to Vero’s current organic growth in Central Oregon and give them a strong presence in one of the fastest-growing markets in the Pacific Northwest.
BendTel has a longstanding reputation for dependable enterprise connectivity and voice services, thanks to its strong ties to the business community in Bend. The company owns and runs a solid fiber network that serves a wide array of **residential and** commercial customers in the area. By adding BendTel’s infrastructure and customer base, Vero is significantly increasing its regional capabilities while still investing in the development of new fiber infrastructure throughout Deschutes County.
According to Sunita Krishna, CEO of Vero Broadband, “We’ve been actively expanding our presence in Bend, and this purchase speeds up that process. BendTel has a solid history in Bend and a thorough understanding of the local business environment. We’re excited to use our resources and experience to grow that base while keeping the local service that customers have come to rely on.”
The acquisition is Vero’s most recent action in carrying out its plan of combining strategic acquisitions with organic growth to satisfy the rising need for fiber connectivity.
BendTel CEO Tom Barrett said, “As Bend continues to grow, we want to keep providing our high-standard services to a larger community. Joining Vero enables us to grow faster and offer even more value to our customers. Their dedication to community-focused growth and excellent networks makes them a perfect partner.”
The acquisition should be finalized in the fall of 2025.
