BARCELONA, Spain, March 6, 2025 — At Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC 2025), held on March 5, 2025, Viettel High Tech – a member of Viettel Group and a limited number of global providers offering complete 4G/5G solutions – announced that it has begun 5G equipment trials with Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company PJSC (du), a major telecom operator in the Middle East. This event marks a significant step in Viettel High Tech’s international growth strategy and highlights Vietnam’s technological capabilities in the global telecommunications landscape.
Viettel High Tech and High Cloud Technologies (HCT), its strategic partner in the Middle East, also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with du, demonstrating their mutual commitment to collaborating on the deployment, testing, and commercialization of 5G solutions throughout the Middle East. The initial phase involves thorough trials within du’s advanced network for a 5G OpenRAN public network and a 5G private network. By implementing cutting-edge 5G solutions, Viettel High Tech intends to meet the rising demand for greater network capacity and faster data speeds, while also setting the stage for innovative applications like smart cities, VR/AR experiences, and industrial IoT.
