DUBLIN, Nov. 25, 2024 — WaterWipes® today announced the winners of its fifth annual Pure Foundation Fund, which recognizes the achievements of healthcare professionals (HCPs) and departments in maternity, neonatal, and postnatal care.
This year’s Pure Foundation Fund recipients are the Liverpool Women’s Hospital Neonatal Team and the Coombe Hospital NICU Team in Dublin. Each received a £10,000/€10,000 bursary to support their work providing exceptional care to families and babies.
This year’s fund allowed for nominations of both individuals and teams, giving recognition to those who have provided exceptional care for premature babies or those in the NICU.
Jill Harrison, Clinical Lead at the Liverpool Women’s Hospital Neonatal Team, commented on the win:
“We are delighted to have won the WaterWipes® Pure Foundation Fund. It’s a wonderful boost for the team and reflects everyone’s hard work and dedication.”
Ann MacIntyre, Director of Midwifery & Nursing at the Coombe Hospital, shared their reaction:
“We are thrilled to receive this award. We will use the funds to expand our knowledge of preterm behavior. Caring for premature babies, often weighing less than a bag of sugar, is incredibly rewarding. We build strong relationships with parents and they become part of the Coombe family.”
Brogan Chesters, Brand Acceleration Manager at WaterWipes®, stated:
“The nominations for this year’s Pure Foundation Fund highlight the vital role of maternal, neonatal, and postnatal healthcare. We’re pleased to support these healthcare heroes with WaterWipes® bursary funds, helping improve care in these critical areas.”
WaterWipes® received over 1300 nominations. A panel of WaterWipes® representatives, along with UK neonatal charity Bliss and the Irish Neonatal Health Alliance (INHA), selected the winners.
